Storage racking systems are widely used in all kinds of warehouses. Generally,racking systems will be equipped with some optional protection equipments. Many buyers will purchase these equipments at the same time when purchasing rackings, the functions of the  equipment selected for the storage rackings as below,

1. Column guard. The function of column guarder is to protect the column of the racking from external force, which is generally installed at the bottom of the column . In the actual application process, the forklift will more or less accidentally hit the racking column. If the column guard is not installed, the column will be deformed. The column is the main component bearing the weight of the racking. Once the deformation not only affects the load of the racking, but also triggers some safety accidents, so the column deformation should be replaced in time. If column guards are installed next to the column, it will avoid the forklift hitting the column. If the column guard is deformed by collision, the column guard shall be replaced directly, and the cost of column guard replacement will be much lower than that of column replacement, and a lot of time will be saved.

2. Crash barrier is also a common supporting equipment for rackings, and its function is generally similar to that of column guard. It is generally installed at both ends of the racking, walls, columns and other places to prevent the impact of forklifts.

3. The back stopper beam is used to limit the position of the pallet and is commonly used in the pallet racking to prevent the pallets from falling off on the beam.

The supporting equipment of different storage rackings have their own functions. Selecting some storage equipment according to the actual needs will make the racking systems more convenient, fast and safe in the process of storing and storing goods.
